Pieces of Print: Rescued Offcuts is about reducing waste and giving mis-prints, which would normally end up in the recycling, a new life and purpose. Safi believes that art should be accessible to all, so offering pieces of her lino prints for 50p fulfils this ideal. She would love customers to tag her on Instagram if they decide to share the print they get.
Each piece of print measures approx. 10x7cm and comes from a larger lino print. Safi has written the name of the full-sized artwork on the back of each piece, and has also signed the front.
Safi gained a BA (Hons) Fine Art in 2002 from the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside. She has always had a passion for creativity, right from when she was a child. Since moving to Norwich in 2008, Safi has grown and developed her printmaking skills and now considers herself a professional artist. Working from her garden studio, she uses clean, simple lines to create bright and bold prints. Influenced by nature, much of Safi’s work includes animals, plants and wildlife. Having lived in Norfolk for 14 years, Safi draws inspiration from the countryside and coastlines of the county as well as creatures closer to home.
